JOHN BERNIER AGRINET® METEOROLOGIST AGRINET®'s meteorologist, John Bernier, has provided the agribusiness community with agricultural weather updates twice daily since 1984. Bernier has been of service in the field of meteorology taking him from American's breadbasket to the industrial heartland. He has served as Director of Meteorology for KDLT-TV Sioux Falls, South Dakota; WEHT-TV in Evansville, Indiana; and as staff meteorologist for WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Ohio. He currently serves as Director of Meteorology for WRIC-TV Richmond, Virginia and is the Media Editor for the National Weather Association's Quarterly Digest. Bernier holds a B.S. degree in Meteorology from the University of Lowell, Massachusetts, Magna Cum Laude. He holds the American Meteorological Society's Seal of Approval, National Weather Association certification and has received the National Weather Association's Special Service Award for work done concerning severe weather. Maintaining a fully equipped, computerized weather station at his residence in addition to the station, John Bernier keeps abreast of weather conditions. He believes, "Weather occurs 24 hours a day, and you have to be prepared for its sudden changes so you can keep your listening audience up-to-date at all times."
